NATIONAL LADDER SAFETY MONTH, SPONSORED BY WERNER LADDER, CREATES AWARENESS OF LADDER SAFETY AND TRAINING RESOURCES

Itasca, IL, March 11, 2020 - Werner, the world leader in ladders and the manufacturer of climbing products and fall protection equipment, is again sponsoring National Ladder Safety Month, which takes place every March.

National Ladder Safety Month is the only movement dedicated exclusively to the promotion of ladder safety, at home and at work. This annual initiative increases awareness for the importance of the safe use of ladders through ongoing education, resources and training programs.

Starting in late February and continuing through the entire month of March, weekly focus areas are highlighted to spark the dialogue on preventable ladder accidents.

• March 8 - 14: Ladder Safety at Work
• March 15 - 21: Ladder Safety at Home
• March 22 - 28: Ladder Inspection and Disposal

According to the American Ladder Institute, more than 100 people die in ladder-related accidents on an annual basis as a result of improper ladder use, which is one of the top 10 most cited OSHA violations each year.

End-user safety is an important focus and mission for Werner. From step stools to extension ladders, Werner Ladder helps lead the national dialogue through ongoing training and programs to increase education and decrease end-user ladder related injuries and fatalities.
