GREENVILLE, Pa., May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Werner Co., America's largest manufacturer and distributor of ladders and other climbing products, announced today that it will be joining Lowe's in answering the call to provide relief to the flood and tornado victims in 12 states, including Tennessee and Kentucky. Werner will be donating $10,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to help support the Red Cross' efforts to provide shelter, food and other assistance to the victims of the recent floods and tornadoes.
"Werner is following Lowe's lead in providing support to those organizations like the Red Cross who will be assisting our neighbors in these ravaged regions," said Bill Allen, President and Chief Executive Officer of Werner. "Much like our efforts in the wake of hurricanes and other natural disasters, we are proud to be a part of the relief and rebuilding efforts in these communities."
In addition to its monetary donation, Werner will once again provide ladders to help rebuild communities across the affected regions. Werner's Louisville, Kentucky facility will be working with Lowe's to provide a truckload of ladders for distribution at Lowe's stores to contractors and homeowners for use in the rebuilding efforts.
