Ladder Safety Hub
Choose Safety. Choose Life. Choose Werner.
Working at height remains one of the leading causes of fatalities and major injuries in the UK, according to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Falls from height account for around a quarter of all workplace deaths - many of which are preventable.
At Werner, ladder safety is always the top priority. We are calling on trade professionals across the UK to put safety first and make informed decisions when working at heights.
To support this, our safety professionals have developed a series of five practical ladder safety guides, released weekly throughout April. Each guide focuses on practical guidelines, common risks and simple steps that can help trade professionals use access equipment correctly and reduce the likelihood of falls. The guides cover key areas including:
- Rules for working at height
- Reviewing whether a ladder is the best tool for the job at hand
- Protocols for safe standing on ladders and the unique advice for differing ladder categories
- Safety checklist to follow prior to use
- How to safely use tools whilst working at height
